It's been over a year since I have updated the family tree (I was banished to the netherworlds of Canada and did not have access to my computer). I would like to say that now I am once again home in San Francisco that I will be more diligent on keeping up with updates that are submitted but history has shown that to be a fallacy. All I can promise is that all submitted changes will be made... eventually.
There were a lot of pent changes that were made this time:
- I incorporated a whole bunch of information that was submitted to me via the web form, email and other updates over the course of the last year and a bit
- I added 88 new pictures... probably ~60 are for new people and the rest are updated pics for people that already had one. I should have eliminated all of the low resolution pictures that were taken with my old digital camera
- The web forms and corresponding scripts to add a new person and edit existing data have all been redone. Both of these tasks should now be clearer and easier (and result in less confusion on my side!)
- The picture index no longer has duplicate names in it
- Finally, you will notice that all of the email addresses have been obfuscated slightly to try to minimize the effect that automated email scanners have. All you have to do is remove all of the extra spaces from the email addresses on the site and they will work properly.

Well, it's been over a year since I have updated this last... and I still haven't. But now that I am back from Canada, I have had the opportunity to work on this. I am going through the submissions that people have made and I have tons of new pictures that I will add as well. Hopefully in the next week or three I will get this up to date.

Well, all of the trees have been regenerated. This takes a bit of time, this is why I don't do it as often as I get updates. This newest iteration contains a couple of updates, about 10 new people and 4 new pictures. Thanks for those that have submitted info!

I know it's been a while since I have updated this info, and I apologize for this. Many thanks for all of the contributed data and please keep it coming. I promise that further updates won't be so long in coming.
Hey, in 3 weeks I'll not have a job and so will have plenty of time!

This is a family tree for me, my extended family and then some. Many of us are Bhora Muslims who originated from the general vicinity of Surat, India but have now spread throughout the globe - although many aren't.
This is a work in progress. Any and all submissions/corrections/updates are greatly appreciated. Are you not listed here but know you are related, then add yourself! Please update incorrect information or add missing information. The only way this will grow is with your help! It's easy, find yourself (or your closest relation) in the index, go to that person's page and fill out the form on that page.
Credits and such
- A good portion of the information for this tree was acquired from an excellent document prepared by Akhtar Lodgher. Akhtar, you've done an amazing job, thanks!
- Also, many thanks to my mum... she had filled in a lot of holes and taken much time to go over this monstrosity that has been created.
This family tree was created using Generations Family Tree Software v8.0 from Sierra Online. It is a decent program but the html generation and charting capabilities leave much to be desired (both require much tweaking) - thank god for PERL.
