My
resume
(last updated January 21, 2003)
A
powerpoint presentation about us created by my little cousin
Khuzema.
My name is Salim Tyabji and am 29 years old. I was born in Salt Lake City and had a pretty nomadic childhood. We moved frequently setting the stage for many of the social maladjustments that I enjoy today. Of the many places I have lived at, we have spent the most time in Salt Lake City, Utah (where I learned how to ski), near Minneapolis (Edina) Minnesota (where I learned the
true meaning of cold) and now reside in the beautiful city of San Francisco, CA.
I went to college at
Tufts University near Boston, MA (actually in Medford - or if you're a local "Med-fuhd") where I graduated with a BS in Computer Engineering. After school I took an awesome consulting job at
Sapient Corporation where I stayed for 3.5 years. After that, I spent a year at a startup,
NAISA Systems and a year in Canada (
Maradadi Pacific) with a little bit on unemployment thrown in. A glutton for punishment, I am now at yet another startup,
Bytemobile.
Oddly, the fact that I am marrying a Canadian this December has much less to do with me spending a year in that country than you would think. And, as I said elsewhere, even though Mumtaz is Canadian... she's still cool :)
When I am not working I like to get outside as much as I can either skiing (when I have a chance), riding my bike through the streets of San Francisco and roller blading but I still spend way too much time in front of the computer. I like Star Wars, electronic gadgets, jazz and hanging out with smart, fun people. I don't like cheap American beer, early mornings and most opinions from the far right.
